About Frome Town Women FC

We are an independently run football club providing football for women, aged 16 and over, in and around Frome, Somerset. We are a 2* England Football Accredited club that compete in the South West Regional Women’s Football League, The Women’s FA Cup and the Somerset County Cup.

The club was one of the original pioneers of women’s football in the South West, founded in 1980, with a rich tradition of competing and winning in regional women’s football. The team plays their home matches at Badgers’ Hill, Frome’s community owned and managed stadium.

Frome Town Women are proud to be a true community club, offering free entry to our matches at Badger’s Hill where we promote a friendly but passionate atmosphere. Why not check out our fixture list, come and support the team, taking advantage of our tea hut and prize raffle while you are with us?

We are super-proud of our fantastic partnership with Frome Town United, Frome’s junior football club, where over 100 girls play football every week, following our local female pathway to age 16 when they are able to come and play with us.

Along with a range of local sponsors, we pride ourselves on our links with the community. The majority of our players live and work in and around Frome, as do our coaches and volunteers. Being independently funded, we rely on our sponsors to cover our costs and support our players as much as we can. We also run fund raising events to support the club – please keep an eye on our social media platforms for the latest news.

Our coaches are UEFA B licensed and fully committed to player development, backed up by the latest Veo camera technology, giving their all and supporting our players all the way. Our players are a friendly and likeable bunch to, fully committed to giving their all for the team. We value hard work, supporting each other and bouncing back from the numerous challenges we face as a women’s football team.
